The ultimate fairytale, Cinderella, has always been one of my very favorite Disney movies. I love the story, I love the fairy godmother, and I love the music. In fact, I love the music so much that when my husband and I got married at Walt Disney World in 2014, I walked down the aisle to “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.”
My daughter has never really seemed “that in” to princesses. Given the option, she would rather wear a Minnie Mouse dress over a princess dress, and she would rather play with stuffed animals than princess dolls. For that reason, we have put off watching princess movies. This week we decided to try watching Cinderella and figured that worst-case scenario, we would turn off the film early and try another day. But, spoiler alert, she LOVED it. She loved dressing up in her dress, she loved Jaq and Gus Gus, and she really loved the movie Cinderella!
When I was planning out our week, I felt like my daughter needed a Cinderella princess dress. Knowing that my daughter doesn’t love dressing up in itchy, costume-like dresses, I racked my brain over what she could wear. Then, I came across Little Adventures Dress Ups. These dresses are AMAZING! They honestly feel as soft as pajamas, but with the cutest details, and the best part is that they are machine washable. After a day of play, you can literally throw it in your washing machine, and it will come out as good as new.
I purchased the Cinderella Day Dress, and my daughter loved it! She wore the dress almost the entire day (except nap time so I could wash it). I’ve already ordered more dresses from Little Adventures, and I can’t wait to share them! If you are looking for cute and comfy dress-up clothes, check out Little Adventures Dress Ups and use code “MVM15” to save 15% on your order!
For our Cinderella dinner, my husband grilled up “Bibbidi Bobbidi Burgers” for us. These sound fancy, but they were basic burgers (that we threw “Bibbidi Bobbidi” in front of for fun, haha). We did make them slider size so that they were easier for our daughter to eat.
As a side, I made pasta salad. I found some cute noddles that were pumpkin-shaped, and they made our pasta salad a little more magical. I also added some peeled clementines to look like little pumpkins and cut a piece of green apple to make a pumpkin stem. I might make these again for Halloween; they would be a super easy Halloween treat!
Our dinner this week was yummy, quick, and easy. Perfect for a Friday night after a busy week.
While waiting for her food to be ready, my daughter played with the cutest Melissa and Doug Cinderella Dress-Up Toy that I found on Amazon. She loves this toy so much that I’ve gone ahead and linked the toy for you through my Amazon Storefront (I will get a small commission if you purchase through the link).
My daughter’s newfound love for princess movies has opened up a “whole new world” of Disney Dinner possibilities. Comment below and tell me if we should watch Snow White or Sleeping Beauty next week.
